QUEENS — Maybe they're crazy like a fox.

A group of thieves boosted fur coats from a Forest Hills store by stuffing three of them under their jackets, police said.

The suspects — two men and a woman — walked into Fox's Designer Off-Price clothing store on Austin Street, near 70th Road, on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at about 3:10 p.m. and pretended to look at coats, police said.

The thieves, whose images were captured on surveillance video, then took three fur coats from the racks, hid them under their jackets and fled, police said.

Officials said that the three stolen coats were worth about $1,830 total.

Police described the two men as being in their 30s. One of the suspects is approximately 5-foot-8 and weighs about 180 pounds, and the other is approximately 5-foot-9 and weighs about 190 pounds, officials said.

The woman is described as being in her mid-20s, approximately 5-foot-7 and weighing about 175 pounds. At the time of the incident she had braids and was wearing a light brown hat, police said.

A woman who picked up the phone at the store Thursday declined to comment.
