ROCKAWAY BEACH — A livery cab driver with previous convictions for assault and weapons charges was arrested Wednesday for gunning down another driver after a fight, police said.
Fabian Sullivan, 38, shot fellow dollar van driver Leon Brown in the torso on Jan. 20 at 8 a.m. after an argument on Rockaway Beach Boulevard, near Beach 81st Street, police said.
The 38-year-old driver was brought to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.
Sullivan — who has a rap sheet with a dozen arrests, according to the NYPD — fled in his white van.
He was arrested on Wednesday, and charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence, police said.
Sullivan did time in a state prison for an assault charge from 2003, and also had arrests for criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a forged instrument, according to the NYPD and the state Department of Corrections.
Information on his lawyer was not immediately available.
