BROOKLYN — A man's nose was broken in an anti-gay attack in Williamsburg, police said.
The 36-year-old man, whose name was not released, was walking on Metropolitan Avenue when he reached Marcy Avenue about 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 14 and was confronted by the suspect who made an anti-gay slur and attacked him, according to the NYPD.
The victim was struck in the face, which knocked him to the ground, and suffered a broken nose along with cuts and bruises, police said. He was treated and released from a New York-Presbyterian hospital, police said.
Video released by police shows the suspect visiting a nearby pizzeria eight minutes before the attack and walking out with a plate.
He got into his Infiniti FX35 SUV and drove to the intersection where he saw the victim, got out and attacked, police said.
The suspect was last seen wearing a hoodie, a dark vest with red and black checkered pants, police said.
