QUEENS — The NYPD is looking for a man who swiped gold charms from two shops last year in Queens, distracting employees then fleeing with the jewelry.
The dapper suspect, who was last seen wearing sunglasses, a cap and an overcoat, entered a shop at 97-09 Roosevelt Ave. in Corona on Sept. 22 at 5:30 p.m. and asked to see several gold charms, according to the NYPD.
He distracted the employee and removed one charm, then fled, police said.
On Oct. 20, the alleged thief visited a pawn shop at 90-26 Sutphin Blvd. in Jamaica and again asked to see gold charms.
He fled with a charm after distracting the employee who took them out, according to the NYPD.
