SOUTH BRONX — A pregnant woman police believed overdosed on pills was found dead over the weekend in a Bronx shelter, according to the NYPD.

Police found Gloramar Rivera, 27, who was five months pregnant, unconscious and unresponsive on Dec. 27 about 9:30 a.m. inside the Bryant Avenue woman's shelter.

Rivera had trauma to her face and chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Medical Examiner will determine Rivera’s cause of death, but police said they do not suspect foul play at this time.

The Department of Homeless Services declined to comment on the death.
