PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — A three-story, landmarked townhouse sold for $2.4 million last month, according to property records, reportedly setting a new sale record for the neighborhood.

The landmarked, single-family home at 118 Rutland Road sold in November to Douglas B. Unis, the deed shows, an orthopedic surgeon at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan.

Corcoran, which handled the sale, originally listed the home for $2.995 million in March, according to multiple listings. The previous owner of the property bought it for $1.375 million in 2007, according to public records.

The house is at the corner of Bedford Avenue and Rutland Road in the Prospect-Lefferts Gardens historic district on a 25-foot-wide by 100-foot-deep lot.

News of the sale was first reported by the blog BK to the Fullest. According to Brownstoner and The Real Deal, the sale broke the previous top home sale record in the neighborhood of $2.3 million in August for a Midwood Road single-family townhouse.
