LOWER MANHATTAN — Snapping pictures of holiday scenes in Lower Manhattan could score you some big gifts this season, including a weekend stay at upscale W New York Downtown.hotel.
The Downtown Alliance is running a photo contest through Jan. 4, asking shutterbugs to send in their favorite pictures of Lower Manhattan capturing the holiday spirit.
The winner of “The Holidays Are Here” contest will get an $800 two-night weekend stay, for two people, at the W hotel. The winner will also get a $50 gift card to spend at department store Century 21 and $100 to spend at Financial District restaurant Delmonico’s.
Interested photographers can submit their pictures of holiday vistas in Lower Manhattan, which the Alliance defines as anywhere below Chambers Street in Manhattan, by emailing Holiday@DowntownNY.com before Jan. 4 at 11:59 p.m.
The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Jan. 5, said Downtown Alliance spokeswoman Maria Alvarado.
"We are hoping to gather as many photos of people enjoying Lower Manhattan this holiday season, and this is a great way for us to interact directly with the visitors, residents and workers in the district," Alvarado said. "We will use photos in our social media feed and possibly in next year’s holiday campaign."
