THE BRONX — A woman was found dead in her Concourse apartment Tuesday night with what appeared to be stab wounds, police said.
The 51-year-old victim, whose name was not immediately released, was found in her third-floor Clarke Place apartment, near Walton Avenue, about 11 p.m., when police arrived after a getting a concerned call from a relative, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
They found her in the bedroom lying unconscious and covered with what appeared to be stab wounds, the spokeswoman said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death and if any criminality was involved.
