NEW YORK CITY — A cafe with a coffee school and a new dessert bar are some of the recent additions to New York City's food scene.

Here are four new places to try this weekend:

Alphaville at 140 Wilson Ave. in Bushwick

A health conscious dive bar is the enigma behind a new drinking spot in Bushwick. Alphaville, where you can get a shot-and-beer special with your kale salad, is aiming to serve healthy and good value food.

The Dessert Club at 27 Bedford St. in the West Village

The team behind dessert joint ChikaLicious are expanding their sweet empire with the The Dessert Club. The space seats only 12 and customers can choose from a menu of $12 desserts that come with a free non-alcoholic drink. A $32 dessert tasting, designed for couples, is also available.

The Folly at 92 W. Houston St. in Greenwich Village

The owners of the Brooklyneer in the West Village and Hill & Dale on the Lower East Side have opened their third bar, a gastropub, earlier this month. The Folly opened its doors Nov. 12 and is designed to have a low-key vibe like the other establishments.

Toby’s Estate Coffee at 44 Charles St. in the West Village

The Australian café invasion continues as Toby’s Estate Coffee, an artisanal coffee company that first opened in Williamsburg, and subsequently Flatiron, rolls out its third location. The new spot is will not only host a café, but also the “The Brew Parlor,” a school that will teach the art of pouring espresso coffee.

Two Boots Pizza at 284 Fifth Ave. in Park Slope

Two Boots has reopened at a new location in Park Slope, after it closed its Fifth Avenue and First Street location 12 months ago. The home-grown pizza shop started in the East Village in 1987 now has locations around the country. The new space was last occupied by French wine bar Terroir.
