Friday, November 28
The Bronx Museum has launched a holiday pop-up shop in collaboration with Puerto Rican fair trade retailer, Concalma The Store. While stocking up on gifts, (accessories, T-shirts, books, organic coffee, home goods and Concalma’s trademark handbags) check out current exhibitions including: Here I Am: Photographs By Lisa Leone and Shai Kremer’s World Trade Centre: Concrete Abstract #2. Open Friday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. 1040 Grand Concourse, Bronx. Free.

Celebrate the release of "Check The Technique Vol. 2.," the most recent edition in author Brian Coleman's acclaimed hip-hop oral history book series this evening at the Ace Hotel New York. DJ Prestige from Flea Market Funk will be hosting Coleman who will be celebrating the artists from the book and their music ’til late in the night. 20 West 29th St, Midtown, from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. Free.

Saturday, November 29
This new photographic exhibition of works by Chris Verene, opening Saturday evening at Postmasters, consists of a group of photographs and a series of projected short videos, all depicting his family and other families from the small city of Galesburg, Illinois, whose lives were drastically altered in the 2008 economic downturn. 54 Franklin St., Tribeca. From 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., free.

Sunday, November 30
Now showing at The Morgan Library & Museum is “Handmade: Artists' Holiday Cards from the Archives of American Art,” a seasonal collection of highly original, graphically intriguing, and rarely seen handmade cards created by major modern and contemporary artists for friends and family, drawn from the Smithsonian’s Archives of American Art. The exhibition includes 60 seasonal cards made by artists including Helen Frankenthaler, Milton Avery, Alexander Calder, Ad Reinhardt, and Saul Steinberg. 225 Madison Ave. at 36th Street, Midtown. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, $18.
