QUEENS — More than 100 firefighters helped quell a blaze that raged for nearly 140 minutes at a Jamaica trash facility Tuesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

The flames erupted within the Royal Waste Services facility at 187-40 Hollis Ave., near Jamaica Avenue, about 9:25 a.m., FDNY officials said.

About 106 firefighters finally brought the fire under control about 11:42 a.m., the FDNY said.

No injuries were reported.

Fire marshals were still trying to determine what sparked the blaze, officials said.

Royal Waste Services declined to comment.
