UPPER WEST SIDE — A 6-foot tall man robbed one woman — and attempted to rob another — after following them into their apartment buildings last month, police said.

On two separate occasions, the suspect trailed the women into their Upper West Side buildings and pushed them up against a wall or onto the floor before grabbing their belongings and fleeing, police said.

The suspect, who is in his 40s, followed a 23-year-old woman into her apartment on West 106th Street on Oct. 18 at 11:50 p.m., where he pushed her against the wall, took her pocketbook and fled, according to police.

The victim then chased the suspect, who threw the pocketbook at her and fled when she confronted him. Police added that woman did not report any injuries.

The next day, on Oct. 19 at 3:30 a.m., the suspect followed a 24-year-old woman into her apartment on West 107th Street. Inside the building, he pushed the woman to the floor and took her iPhone, police said.

The woman was cut on her upper lip but refused medical attention.

Both incidents occurred in the 24th Precinct.
