THE BRONX — A 17-year-old girl died when a car she was in crashed on the Hutchinson River Parkway and ejected her into the road Thursday night, police said.

The Toyota Camry she was in the passenger's seat of had been heading south on the parkway until it hit a barrier near the Pelham Parkway about 11:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

She was thrown into the roadway where medical crews pronounced her dead, police said.

The Camry's driver, a 21-year-old man whose name was not released, was taken to Jacobi hospital in stable condition, police said.

No arrests had been made as of Friday morning, but police added that their investigation is ongoing.
