JACKSON HEIGHTS — A naked, decomposed body was found along freight train tracks underneath Roosevelt Avenue on Monday, police said.

The body was discovered at 1:30 p.m. by a railway worker along the CSX Corp. tracks that run parallel to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, under the Roosevelt Avenue overpass, police said.

The corpse was so decomposed police could not immediately determine if the body was male or female, according to the NYPD.

They also couldn't say if foul play was suspected, police said.

A spokeswoman from the medical examiner's office said the agency conducting an autopsy Tuesday. 

CSX Corp. is a rail-based freight train operator that travels throughout the country, according to the company.
