BROOKLYN — Three suspects struck a man in the face with a gun before robbing him of more than $1,000 and his cellphone on a South Williamsburg street early this month in an incident that was caught on tape, police said.

The three attackers approached the 52-year-old victim around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 340 Roebling St., near South Ninth Street, and repeatedly punched him in the face and body, the NYPD said.

During the attack, one of the men pulled out a gun and hit the victim across the face, police said. They then took a Verizon phone, worth $300, and $1,000 cash from the man, according to a police spokesman.

All of the suspects were between 20 and 30 years old, police added.

One was described as standing 5-foot-8-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds, wearing a dark jacket with stripes on the sleeves and dark jeans, police said. The second suspect was about 5-foot-8, weighed 200 pounds and wore a red jacket with dark colored jeans, the NYPD said. The third suspect stood about 5-foot-10, weighed 170 pounds and wore a dark colored jacket with leather sleeves, dark jeans and a black baseball cap, police said.
