HELL'S KITCHEN — A man was found lying face up in a pool of blood in the bathtub of his apartment Wednesday morning, police said.
The man, whose name was not released but was in his 40s, was found inside 375 W. 48th St., near Ninth Avenue, about 12:25 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
It was not immediately clear how he died, but sources said investigators believe criminality was involved.
An NYPD spokesman did not know if the man's apartment showed any signs of forced entry.
