QUEENS — The Jamaica father accused of stabbing his wife and their two young daughters to death pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges Friday, the Queens District Attorney announced.

Miguel Mejia-Ramos, 28, fatally stabbed his wife Deisy Garcia, 21, in a jealous rage after seeing photos of her with another man on her cellphone on Jan. 19, at their Sutphin Boulevard home.

He then attacked their two daughters Yoselin Mejia, 1, and Daniela Mejia, 2, according to Queens DA Richard Brown's office.

Initially, Mejia-Ramos, was charged with murder and was facing a life sentence without parole.

But on Friday he pleaded guilty to three counts of manslaughter in exchange for a lesser sentence.

Mejia-Ramos is slated to be sentenced to 45 years in prison on Nov. 7, according to the Queens DA’s office.

“Today’s guilty plea by the defendant will bring some degree of closure to the family of the victims,” Brown said, adding that Mejia-Ramos has waived his right to appeal.

Mejia-Ramos told investigators that he had been drinking before killing his family. He also said that after he returned home, he checked his wife’s cellphone, found pictures of her with another man and he went into a rage. He also said that he killed his children, because he didn't have car seats to take them with him.

He was captured in Texas, when he was trying to flee to Mexico.
