QUEENS — A woman stabbed her boyfriend to death after he bit her finger during a fight Wednesday in their Jamaica apartment, police said.

Carmen Rodriguez, who was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, told the police that she and her boyfriend, Michael Harris, 46, had an argument in their Jamaica apartment on 155th Street, near South Road, shortly before 10 p.m.

The fight turned physical, Rodriguez told investigators, and Harris bit her finger. So she grabbed a knife and allegedly stabbed him multiple times in the chest, back, arms and legs, police said.

Harris died at the scene, police said.

Sources said that this was the first time police have been called to that location.

But officials said that Harris had numerous prior arrests, dating back to 1990, including for robbery, assault and criminal possession of marijuana.

Rodriguez, who police said had cuts to her right thumb and abrasions to the face, was taken to Jamaica Hospital.

As of Thursday morning, Rodriguez has not been arraigned, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.
