MIDTOWN SOUTH — A man was stabbed in the arm during a fight inside a Duane Reade across the street from Madison Square Garden early Monday morning, police said.

The victim, who police said was in his 20s, was inside the convenience store at 470 Eighth Ave., at the corner of 33rd Street, about 1:40 a.m. when he and the suspect started fighting, NYPD and FDNY officials said.

The suspect, who is about the same age as the victim, stabbed the man in the arm and then fled the shop, police said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center, where he was listed in stable condition, officials said.

The suspect was still at large Monday morning, police said.
