Service Changes Planned for 13 Subway Lines This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Service changes are set to hit 13 subway lines this week as extensive MTA work takes place.

Here’s a breakdown by line:

2 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Flatbush Avenue-Brooklyn College-bound 2 trains will run express from Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue.

3 Line: From 6 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, New Lots Avenue-bound 3 trains will run express from Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue.

From 12:01 a.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday, Harlem-bound 3 trains will run local from 72nd Street to 96th Street.

4 Line: From 11 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday, and from 11 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound 4s will run local between 125th Street and Grand Central.

From 11:45 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday to Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, New Lots-bound 4 trains will run express from Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue.

5 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 5 trains will be suspended in both directions between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street. Free shuttle buses will operate all weekend between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street, stopping at Baychester Avenue, Gun Hill Road, Pelham Parkway and Morris Park.

6 Line: Until February 2015, 6 trains will skip Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue in both directions.

Use the Bx4 or shuttle buses to connect between Zerega Avenue and Castle Hill Avenue. Free transfer is available with a MetroCard.

For service between Buhre Avenue and Middletown Road, use the Bx8, Bx24 or shuttle buses. Free transfer is available with a MetroCard.

From 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 6 trains will run every 16 minutes between 3rd Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park. The last stop for some Pelham Bay Park trains is 3rd Avenue-138th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express from Parkchester to Pelham Bay Park.

7 Line: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Flushing-bound 7s will run express from Queensboro Plaza to 74th Street-Broadway.

From 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, and from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. Sunday, 7 trains will operate in two segments: between Times Square and Citi Field, and between Citi Field and Flushing-Main Street.

A Line: From 11:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Friday to Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound A trains will run express from 145th Street to Columbus Circle.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Inwood-bound A trains will run express from Canal Street to 168th Street.

C Line: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound C trains will run express from 145th Street to Columbus Circle.

D Line: From 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Norwood-bound D trains will run express from 145th Street to Tremont Avenue.

From 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Coney Island-bound D trains will skip Fort Hamilton Parkway, 50th Street and 55th Street.

E Line: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, E trains will run local in Queens.

F Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound F trains will skip Fort Hamilton Parkway, 15th Street-Prospect Park and 4th Avenue-9th Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound F trains will run local in Queens.

G Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound G trains will skip Fort Hamilton Parkway, 15th Street-Prospect Park and 4th Avenue-9th Street.

J Line: From 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Queens-bound J trains will run express from Myrtle Avenue to Broadway Junction.
