GOWANUS — A man was struck and killed by a Brooklyn-bound F train in the Fourth Avenue subway station in Gowanus Monday morning, officials said.

The man, whose name and age were not immediately released, was inside the subway station near Ninth Street when he was hit and trapped under the train about 9:15 a.m., according to FDNY and MTA officials.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Investigators were still trying to determine how the man was hit by the train, officials said.

Police did not immediately have further information.

Trains along the F and G lines were briefly disrupted but returned to normal with some delays, according to the MTA's website.
