WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Looking for something to do close to home while the 1 train service is suspended between 96th and 242nd Streets again this weekend?

From a wine tasting at Morris Jumel Mansion to a medieval festival in Fort Tryon Park to a music-filled festival to help clean up the Harlem River North Cove, there are plenty of great events to check out — without having to hop on a shuttle bus.

DNAinfo has rounded up just a few to check out:

Saturday

Harlem River North Cove Cleanup Festival - Roll up your sleeves and help your neighbors clean up the Harlem River North Cove, starting at 10 a.m. Located just north of 207th Street, the space was once an illegal dumping ground that was transformed into an urban wildlife sanctuary through a community effort led by James “Birdman” Cataldi. When the work is finished, stay to celebrate with the North Cove’s first-ever outdoor music festival featuring New York City acts including the Cintrone Brothers, Clarence Spady and Sonido Cubano. The festival runs from 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

RING Garden Anniversary Party - Celebrate one of Inwood’s most beloved green spaces at the garden’s 30th anniversary party. Once a garbage-strewn concrete island, the sliver of land between Riverside Drive and Dyckman Street has blossomed into an urban oasis complete with a Koi pond. There will be music and refreshments. The event, which runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m, is free. However, those interested in attending should respond to kywilliams2@aol.com or mclarke@hunter.cuny.edu

Wine Tasting at Morris Jumel Mansion - Sip a glass of Bordeaux while learning some local history at a wine tasting event at the Morris Jumel Mansion, which played host to George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Christian Galliani, Danielle Oteri, a husband-wife team who run their own wine and food education companies, will offer French wines and cheeses and explore the life of Stephen Jumel, a wine merchant who purchased the house in 1810. The event runs from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person. Please call 212-923-8008 to make a reservation.

Art Show at Our Saviour's Atonement Lutheran Church - Explore your spiritual side at a new art exhibit on Bennett Avenue. Creations Art Show will host its second annual exhibit at the Our Saviour’s Atonement Lutheran Church at 178 Bennett Ave. The free show, which features live performances as well as visual and written works, opens with a special reception this Saturday at 6 p.m. While last year’s show explored the theme of grace, this year’s show is entitled "Mercy."

Sunday

Fort Tryon Park Medieval Festival - Don your wimple, sheath your lance and take the A train to Fort Tryon Park for the 30th Annual Medieval Festival. There will be a fairy wish registry, a live chess match, a falconry table, musical performances, combat demonstrations and, of course, jousting. The free festival runs from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Watch Robin Williams in The Fisher King - See the late Robin Williams on the big screen in one of his most celebrated roles. The United Palace of Cultural Arts continues its “Classic NYC Movies at the Palace” series with a showing of The Fisher King. Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of Broadway’s “In the Heights,” will host a Q&A with the film’s screenwriter, Richard LaGravenese at 5 p.m.. The movie begins at 5:30. Both portions of the event are free.
