THE BRONX — A man who brought a woman he met on Facebook back to his Morrisania apartment was robbed by three thieves who forced their way into his home, police said.

The 22-year-old man brought the woman, whose identity was not released, back to his apartment on East 166th Street about 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 6. She wanted to leave 20 minutes later so he escorted her out, according to the NYPD. Police did not provide a cross street.

As he opened his door three men, one of them armed with a gun, forced their way into the home and shoved its tenant to the ground where they assaulted him and tied him up, police said.

The trio, surveillance photos of whom were released by police, stole money, cellphones, computer equipment and sneakers before fleeing, NYPD officials said.

The victim refused medical attention when emergency responders arrived, police said. It wasn't clear how much time elapsed between when he was bound and their arrival.

One thief wore a gray hoodie with a pattern on its right sleeve and black pants with three white stripes down the leg, according to the surveillance footage.

Another wore a dark hoodie and similar pants.

A third wore a dark hoodie and pants.

Police did not say whether or not the woman was associated with the thieves.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
