BROOKLYN — A 19-year-old man was taken off life support nine days after a pair of gunmen shot him in the head inside a Bedford-Stuyvesant liquor store, police said.

He and a 20-year-old woman were shot inside 855 Stone Ave., near Hull Street, about 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 29 by two men who have remained on the lam ever since, according to the NYPD.

The teen was hit in the head, leaving him brain-dead. He was taken off life-support Sept. 6 at Brookdale Hospital, an NYPD spokesman said.

The male victim's name was not being released because his family had not yet been notified, the spokesman said. It was not clear who took him off life support.

The woman was listed in stable condition at the same hospital, police said. It was not clear if she knew the man who died.

The motive for the shooting remained unclear.

The NYPD released grainy images of two suspects, and said they were both wearing black hoodies and black baseball caps during the shooting.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
