INWOOD — A woman was attacked with pepper spray and mugged Monday morning while walking her dog in Inwood HIll Park, police said.
The suspect sprayed the woman in the face before taking her necklace shortly before 7 a.m. near the Isham Street entrance to the park, a police source said. The suspect then fled into the park near the basketball courts.
An ambulance responded to the scene, but the woman refused medical attention, the FDNY said.
Police are looking for a 20- to 25-year-old man standing about 5-foot-10. The suspect was last seen wearing a black tanktop and long, basketball-style shorts, police added.
