QUEENS — A man shot and killed his girlfriend, then turned the gun on himself in Flushing Monday evening, police said.

Xie Bin, 51, shot Ya Meng, 46, once in the head in front of 133-58 41st Avenue, near the commercial heart of the neighborhood on Main Street at about 5:45 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. Bin then shot himself in the head.

There was no reported history of domestic violence between Bin, who lived at 4190 Frame Place in Flushing, and Meng, a police spokeswoman said.

It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting, the spokeswoman added.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
