BRONX — Police are on the hunt for four gun-wielding teens who attacked a 14-year-old boy in Allerton earlier this month, punching him in the face and stealing his food stamp card.

The suspects, who police say are all 17-years-old, stopped the boy in front of 2572 Bronxwood Ave., near Allerton Avenue, while he was walking home at 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 10, police said.

“What you got on you?” one of the suspects asked, according to police.

The group of older teens then went into the victim's backpack, took his food stamp card, and then demanded his PIN number, police said.

One of the suspects whipped out a gun before punching the boy in the face and fleeing the scene, police said.

The victim suffered from pain and swelling to his right eye but refused medical attention, police said.

Police described the suspects as 5-foot-7, weighing 140 pounds; 5-foot-6, weighing 140 pounds; 5-foot-9, weighing 165 pounds; and 5-foot-9, weighing 145 pounds.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
