Chinese Restaurant Catches Fire in Hell's Kitchen

HELL'S KITCHEN — Two firefighters were hurt when a fire erupted at a Chinese restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen Tuesday evening, officials said.

The fire broke out at 11:59 p.m. inside Grand Sichuan on the first floor of the six-story building at 368 W. 46th St., an FDNY spokesman said.

About 60 firefighters responded to the blaze, bringing it under control about an hour later, the spokesman added.

The firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to taken to Roosevelt hospital, according to the spokesman.

The cause of the blaze was still under investigation Wednesday morning.
