EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A 24-year-old Vinegar Hill resident was killed and two women were injured in an East Williamsburg shooting over the wekeend, police said.

Jahmal Jerome, who lived at Farragut Houses, died after suffering a gunshot wound to the head about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at 131 Moore St. in the Bushwick Houses, according to police.

Gunfire from the shooting also struck a 47-year-old woman, who was wounded in the leg, and a 50-year-old woman, whose head was grazed, police said.

Both women were transported to Bellevue Hospital and are in stable condition, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.

Jerome was "really quiet" and mostly kept to himself, said his next-door neighbor, Tyrone Coleman, 31.

He said Jerome was from Bushwick and moved to the Vinegar Hill housing complex about five years ago, living by himself.

"He was a good guy, as far as I know," Coleman said.
