BROOKLYN — A man was arrested after killing his 25-year-old girlfriend in her Bed-Stuy apartment Tuesday afternoon, police said.

East New York resident Tristan Anderson, 27, was charged Wednesday afternoon in connection to the death of Shawntel Davis, who was found with head trauma inside her home in the Roosevelt Houses at 953 Dekalb Ave., the NYPD said.

Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The medical examiner had not yet ruled on her death as of Wednesday evening.

Police held Anderson for questioning all day, eventually arresting him in the afternoon, the NYPD said.

Anderson was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD. Police did not immediately have information on whether the weapon was connected to the alleged murder.
