CARROLL GARDENS — A barefoot woman clad in a black dress was arrested for jumping up and down on the hood of a car in Carroll Gardens Sunday and spitting in the face of the police officer who tried to stop her, police said.

The 30-year-old woman was spotted jumping on the hood of a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle on July 13 about 6 a.m. at Fourth Place and Smith Street, police said. She allegedly caused more than $250 worth of damage.

The spectacle caused drivers passing by to stop and look while she destroyed the car, according to the criminal complaint. When officers arrived she yelled "f--k off" at them, according to the criminal complaint.

“I’m not getting off,” the woman, who was wearing a black dress, added, according to police.

When officers tried to restrain her, she refused to be handcuffed and swung her arms and then spit in an officer’s face, according to police and the criminal complaint.

She was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and harassment in the second degree, according to the criminal complaint.

The owner of the Beetle, which had Georgia license plates, has not yet come forward.

Other notable crimes in the 76th Precinct, according to police, include:

► A $5,000 silver Cannondale bicycle was stolen after the rider was attacked by a man about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. The thief punched the 23-year-old cyclist's throat and face before fleeing on the bike at Walcott and Dwight streets. No arrests have been made as yet.

► A $2,000 laptop was stolen on July 12 around noon at the corner of West Ninth and Hicks Streets in Red Hook. The victim, a 27-year-old man, placed the laptop on the sidewalk and picked up his bags to load into his car. When he looked back, he saw that the computer was missing, police said.
