NEW YORK CITY — A gourmet cafe in Chinatown and the second location of a unique chicken fingers store are some of the new spots to try in New York this weekend.

Two Hands at 164 Mott St. in Little Italy, Manhattan

A pair of Australian friends opened a café on the boarder of Little Italy and Chinatown, serving up gourmet coffee, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies. The food fair at Two Hands, which takes up a sun soaked storefront tucked between Chinese beauty salons, is inspired by the simplicity of Australian-style snacks such as seasonal sandwiches and salads.

Tommy Thai at 194 5th Ave in Elmhurst, Queens

A New York City food industry veteran of three decades has branched out with his own business, a Thai restaurant. Tom Nuamcharoen, whose career started at the Windows on the World restaurant in 1983, partnered with his wife Alle to provide traditional Thai food to the neighborhood.

The Halal Guys at 307 E. 14th St., in the East Village, Manhattan

The Halal Guys, a collection of Midtown food carts that have lunchtime lines of office workers and tourists, has opened its first storefront. The location is aiming to have shorter lines than those at the food carts, but prices have increased slightly, with its staple menu offering of chicken over rice costing $6.99 compared to $6 at the carts.

Sticky's Finger Joint at 484 Third Ave. in Murray Hill, Manhattan

The second location of Sticky's Fingers Joint, which specializes in gourmet chicken fingers and already has store in Greenwich Village, opened Thursday, according to the business' Facebook page. Sticky's 2, the name of the second store, will debut new flavors such as French Onion Supreme and Cool Curry Tikka Masala Fingers.
