INWOOD — Inwood's La Marina is hosting two high-profile rappers this July 4 weekend, as 2 Chainz and Fabolous are scheduled to make appearances at the Dyckman Street hot spot — but despite claims to the contrary, Nicki Minaj won't be joining them.

Event organizers put out flyers and told DNAinfo New York last week that superstar Nicki Minaj would host a gala Saturday at 4 p.m. — but after Minaj tweeted that her appearance was only a rumor, La Marina admitted that the rapper would not be there.

"The logistics got messed up and she won't be coming," a La Marina spokeswoman said.

"I will NOT be at la marina in ny. I know there's a fraudulent flyer out saying I will be, but i WON'T," the "Starships" singer tweeted Thursday night.

The party started Thursday at 5 p.m., when 2 Chainz was scheduled to kick off the weekend with a beachfront performance. Tickets cost $50 and approximately 300 of the more than 1,000 available tickets had been sold by the end of last week, organizers said.

On Independence Day, Fabolous, who performed a sold-out show at the riverfront venue in May, will host a 10-hour "Independence Island" bash that starts at 3 p.m. Ticket prices ranges from $30 for general admission to $5,450 for a cabana, VIP service and table for 10, according to the website.

The string of events at the club where Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been spotted will continue La Marina’s streak of attracting top musical talent to Inwood but will likely do little to curb area residents' longstanding complaints of noise and traffic issues at the venue. Locals have griped for more than two years to police and Community Board 12 that the event space causes severe traffic and noise issues. Residents have also questioned La Marina’s permitted maximum capacity and its frequent number of large-scale events.

All three events have been permitted by the Parks Department, La Marina spokeswoman Erica Schietinger said.

Schietinger said La Marina would work with the 34th Precinct to manage traffic over the holiday weekend.

"They work regularly with the precinct,” Schietinger said. "They work hand-in-hand with the police for any event that’s happening.”

Police sources told DNAinfo New York that the precinct would have officers out to monitor the area and that the precinct did not anticipate serious issues.
