PARK SLOPE — The famous Manhattan pizza chain Patsy’s Pizzeria is bringing its slices to Brooklyn, moving within blocks of the Barclays Center by the end of this year, its owners said.

Patsy’s will open its fifth location — and first in Brooklyn — at 450 Dean St. on the corner of Flatbush Avenue, directly across from the arena, said Joe Juliano, a co-owner of the new eatery.

The spot will have 100 seats, a bar, a coal-fired oven and sit-down and takeout dining, but no slices, Juliano said. The menu will be similar to other Patsy’s locations, with Italian favorites like baked clams, fried calamari and chicken francese, in addition to pizza.

Juliano is no stranger to the Italian food business  his family owned the famous Brooklyn Heights Cammareri Bros. Bakery from its founding in 1922 to its closure in 2013. Now, he co-owns a coffee shop in Fort Greene, Cammareri Bakery and Cafe, and helps with the family’s bakery wholesale business.

Juliano said the new Patsy’s location is in the right place at the right time.

“It’s just a wonderful area. You’re between Fort Greene and Park Slope and it’s just nice  and besides, we’re right across the street from the Barclays Center,” he said. “You literally see the front door.”

Patsy’s is not alone in wanting proximity to the arena. The new pizza shop will join several other local chain restaurants set to open in the area around Barclays this year, including Manhattan doughnut shop Doughnut Plant, Nolita Italian eatery Parm and the burger chain Shake Shack.

The demand for space in the Flatbush corridor has forced prices up and older tenants out. The new Patsy’s shop will replace Skilz Salon, a unisex barbershop that operated on Dean Street since 1994, according to its owner, Reginald Dumornay.

He moved his business to a new location in Clinton Hill last month after his lease expired at 450 Dean St. He said he tried to negotiate to stay, but the offer from Patsy’s, which his landlord told him was about $14,000 per month in rent, was more than triple what he had been paying.

“I wasn’t even close to what he was being offered,” Reginald, 45, said. “I didn’t take it personal… Anybody in his position would do the same thing. You have to look after your family and your best interests.”

The owner of the building could not be reached for comment. A representative from TerraCRG, the real estate company that brokered the Patsy’s deal, wouldn’t confirm the total rent price, but said that the asking price was $100 per square foot.
