BRONX — He's got an appetite for construction.

A thief toting a bag of snacks strolled into a Bronx building and stole a TV and some construction tools earlier this month, according to police and surveillance footage.

Investigators said the famished suspected felon forced open the lobby door at 1779 Southern Blvd., near East 174th Street at 1 a.m. June 14.

Surveillance footage shows him holding a bag of snacks as he walks through the lobby door and then reaching in for a handful of the munchies as he gets into the elevator, police said.

He then went to the basement where he allegedly stole construction tools and a 24-inch TV.

The owner did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Anyone who wants to take a bite out of crime is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
