THE BRONX — A dapper trio tied up a Concourse Village woman in her apartment in an attempt to rob her last week, but fled empty-handed, police said.

A woman wearing a gold headband, who was with two well-dressed men, knocked on the 35-year-old victim's apartment, near East 163rd Street and Grant Avenue, about 11 a.m. on June 3, forced their way in and tied her up, the NYPD said.

They demanded she fork over some cash, but the tenant said she had none so they fled, police said.

The victim wasn't injured in the break-in, the NYPD said. It wasn't clear how she got free.

Police released footage of the three would-be thieves leaving the apartment building.

The first man wore a white collared shirt, red tie and matching newsboy cap, police said.

The woman who followed him wore an orange cardigan over a patterned blouse with a gold headband, police said.

The man who walked through last wore a purple collared shirt with a cap, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
