Hudson Eats at 200 Vesey St. in the Financial District, Manhattan
A 35,000-square-foot food court with 600 seats opened last week in Brookfield Place. Diners can choose from 14 restaurants including Cambodian sandwich shop Num Pang, Umami Burger and Dig Inn Seasonal Market.
Down to Earth Farmers Market at West 23rd Street and Ninth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan
A new summer farmers market is scheduled to open this Saturday with locally-sourced fresh produce. Down to Earth will occupy the corner of West 23rd Street and Ninth Avenue from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. every Saturday until Nov. 22.
Chapter One at 33 Greenwich Ave. in the West Village, Manhattan
A classic American pub with Irish roots opened in the West Village a few weeks ago and its owners are hoping it will be a go-to place for neighbors. The pub, named Chapter One, has an extensive bourbon and rye list with a décor of wood paneled walls and photos of old American bars.
Shelsky's of Brooklyn at 141 Court St in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn
A next-generation smoked fish shop that once occupied the space at 251 Smith St. has moved to this larger space at 141 Court St. and extended its menu. Along with its bagels, pastries and smoked and cured fish products, Shelsky's of Brooklyn has added shrimp, crab and lobster rolls to its menu.
