PROSPECT HEIGHTS — A Brooklyn teen who went missing May 20 was found Monday, police said.

Jacob Lester, 16, had been last seen leaving his home on Saint Marks Avenue between Carlton and Vanderbilt avenues at 6 a.m., according to police.

News of the teen’s disappearance spread through local Park Slope blogs and a Facebook status posted by Lester’s mother June Edelstein, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

“Horrible news, JAKE, my son, is MISSING,” the status message, which received almost 40,000 shares, read.

“Jake (Jacob) Lester just turned 16 and was last seen getting off the WTC-Paulus Hook ferry in Jersey City on Tuesday morning, May 20. He could be in Rhinebeck NY, central NJ, PA, elsewhere in the Northeast, or even further west by now,” the post continued.

Edelstein last commented on the status on May 23 and did not respond to a request for comment.

Police did not have any further information.
