QUEENS — A gunman chased another man into a Kew Gardens Hills bowling alley Saturday night and unleashed a hail of bullets, hitting him in the back and thigh, police said.

During the shooting, which occurred just after 10 p.m. Saturday at Jib Lanes bowling alley on Parsons Boulevard and Jewel Avenue, the suspect fired approximately five shots at a 36-year-old man, hitting him twice, police said.

In surveillance video of the incident, the gunman can be seen chasing the victim into the lobby and firing before turning to flee.

The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was listed in stable condition, police added.

The suspect fled on foot and as of Tuesday morning there had been no arrests, authorities said.

No one else was hurt, the NYPD said.

A manager at Jib Lanes was not immediately available for comment.

Police said it was unclear what prompted the shooting and whether the gunman knew the victim.

Police described the shooter as being in his mid- to late-30s, standing between 5-foot-10 to 6 feet.

The incident was captured by a surveillance camera, which was released by the NYPD.
