SOHO — King Street eatery Charlie Bird is celebrating the warm weather by launching outdoor seating.

The SoHo restaurant, which opened last June, will open a new 40-seat patio area starting May 9, just in time for rosé season.

Ryan Hardy, chef and co-owner at the restaurant, said he was excited to add outdoor seating.

"We’ve always envisioned our space to include an outdoor patio where guests can drink rosé and enjoy oysters while soaking up the sun," Hardy said. "Now that the warm weather is here, we are thrilled to offer outdoor seating and provide more welcoming space for our guests.”

The restaurant will also launch a new spring menu, with a salad of artichoke and fava beans, rabbit cacciatore with a spring vegetable hash and pasta with peas, bacon and spring onions. The spring menu also includes grilled ramp toast with pancetta.

Charlie Bird, 5 King St., 212-235-7233. Open Monday through Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Fridays noon to 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to midnight, Saturdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
