MIDTOWN — Police are looking for a black-clad duo who tried to carjack a man at gunpoint last month.

The man and woman approached the 60-year-old victim as he got into his car in Midtown just after midnight on April 12, police said.

The male attacker got into the passenger's side of the car, pulled out a gun and pistol-whipped the victim with it as he demanded the man's money and car keys, police said.

At the same time, the woman yanked open the driver's side door and tried to pull the victim out of the car, police said.

The victim was able to fend off the attackers, who fled.

Police said the male suspect was in his mid-20s, 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. Police did not release a detailed description of his accomplice.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
