MANHATTAN — An off-duty city bus driver was arrested for groping a woman on a train at Union Square Thursday morning, officials said. 

David Grant, 46, was arrested about 9:33 a.m. after grabbing a woman’s buttocks and pressing up against her from behind while they were both riding in a subway car on the 4-5 line, according to police.

Grant has been employed by the city since July 2012 has been suspended pending the outcome of his case, an MTA spokesman said.

The driver, who works out of the Manhattanville Depot, was charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse.

He expected to be arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court Thursday evening.
