BROOKLYN — Investigators continued to search Thursday for an out-of-control driver who killed a cyclist in Bed-Stuy, then slammed into another car nearby and ran away on foot, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police did not release the identity of the man behind the wheel of the red 2014 BMW, who rammed Angel Torres, 46, from behind as Torres rode east on Broadway near Halsey Street about 8 a.m. Wednesday. The BMW knocked Torres to the ground, leaving him with severe head and body trauma, police said.

Torres was pronounced dead at Woodhull hospital, police said.

"I saw the guy laid out on the floor, blood running," said witness Shante Washington, 24.

After hitting Torres, the BMW driver hit an empty parked car and then pulled onto Thomas Boyland Street and drove about four blocks before slamming into a 2000 Toyota 4Runner pulling out of a driveway near Chauncey Street, video obtained by WABC-TV shows.

The front of the BMW was so mangled after the third crash that the driver hopped out of the car and ran away, the NYPD said.

The Toyota's occupants were taken to Woodhull and were listed in stable condition, police said.
