QUEENS — Police released footage of a knife-wielding man who walked up to a woman from behind and snatched away her purse in Astoria on March 16.
The man robbed her about 1:30 a.m. as she walked along 38th Street before jumping into a black vehicle and fleeing the scene, the NYPD said. Police would not provide a cross street.
Her purse contained about $100, credit cards, and her identification, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
The woman was not injured, police said.
