CARROLL GARDENS — More than 3,000 records will be sold for a dollar each at a Brooklyn record store on Saturday.

Black Gold, which sells records, coffee and antiques at 461 Court St., is back with “Gold Dig” where music lovers can rummage through crates of 3,500 to 4,000 vinyl records.

“Every record that we bring out will be a dollar,” said Jeff Ogiba, co-owner of Black Gold.

Shop employees have been setting aside albums for about six months and most of the records have never seen store shelves, Ogiba said.

The records are usually doubles or slightly imperfect copies, he said.

The sale begins March 22 at 10 a.m. and continues all day with further discounts in the evening when a dollar can buy three records in some cases. Black Gold will also have its regular and new stock of records.

Genres can range from hip-hop to jazz to rock and roll and more, with “everything from popular stuff to obscure stuff,” Ogiba said.

People also have a chance to find a rare piece of music history. At past Gold Digs, customers have found autographed records and a $100 disco record.

“People find really rare stuff,” he said. “Just be there at 10.”
