BROOKLYN — Fans of the HBO series "Game of Thrones" will get a sneak preview of the new season's first episode at a special screening at the Barclays Center this month.

The arena will screen the premiere for 7,000 fans on March 20 at an "immersive event" hosted by HBO, arena officials announced Tuesday.

The evening includes an advance screening of the season premiere, which debuts on HBO on April 6, and a chance to see props and costumes from the show up close. Pieces from a traveling exhibition about "Game of Thrones" will be on display and fans will be allowed to take photos in a replica of the show's "Iron Throne."

The premiere will be shown on a 30-foot high, 55-feet wide screen. The Barclays Center screening is the only fan preview event of its kind in the country, a spokeswoman for HBO said.

"To create an event that matches the excitement of the viewers and the epic scale of this series, we knew we had to do something really special," said Zach Enterlin, senior vice president of Advertising and Promotion at HBO, in a statement. "A fan screening of this size, at a venue like Barclays Center, feels like the perfect way to celebrate the new season of 'Game of Thrones.'”

Tickets for the evening of knights, swords and dragons are $15, including service charges. Net proceeds will benefit the charities Nothing But Nets and Books for Africa.
