STATEN ISLAND — Nearly 140 firefighters spent three hours battling a massive Port Richmond blaze that tore through several businesses on Monday morning, the FDNY said.

The fire started about 3 a.m. on the first floor of 131 Bennett St., which is listed as Gyrolicious Greek Sandwich Shop, an FDNY spokesman said.

It burned until about 6 a.m. when it was finally brought under control, the spokesman said.

The fire engulfed a stretch of store fronts from Bennett Street to Port Richmond, which included the Iglesia de Evangelizacion Misionera and the C-Town Supermarket, which opened in 2012.

No injuries were immediately reported, the FDNY said.
