MANHATTAN — Service was temporarily disrupted on the uptown trains during Tuesday's rush-hour commute after someone left a suitcase on a platform in Grand Central Terminal, the MTA said.

Trains along the uptown 4, 5, and 6 lines were bypassing the station while police investigated the suitcase about 8:41 a.m., an MTA spokeswoman said.

Regular service resumed about 9:19 a.m. with some delays, the MTA said.
