QUEENS — A retired correction officer was shot to death during a fight with his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend — both active correction officers — in Queens Village early Friday morning, according to police.

The shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. on 108th Avenue, between 226th and 227th streets, authorities said.

The victim, Jeffrey Ragland, 50, of Jamaica, was a retired correction officer, while the two people in custody were active off-duty correction officers.

The NYPD said that the victim was the ex-boyfriend of the woman in custody.

Ragland, police sources said, was waiting by her car to confront her.

He was shot once in the chest, police said. He was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

As of Friday afternoon, the two people in custody had not been charged, police said.

According to the Corrections Department, Ragland retired in April, 2013, after 23 years.
