Police Hunt For Clues in East 11th Street Burglary

EAST VILLAGE — Police are calling for the public's assistance to help collect information on a burglary last week.

On Thursday, a burglar allegedly entered 15 East 11th St., between Fourth and Fifth avenues in the Union Square area.

The apartment had been left unlocked, police said, adding that a backpack containing a laptop and a Tiffany's keychain was stolen from the apartment. The building has full-time security, according to Corcoran's website.

Police released photos of a man believed to have been involved in the incident, they said. He was wearing a khaki parka coat and black beanie at the time of the incident, according to police. 

Police urged anyone with any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1-800-577-8477. Members of the public can also send in tips via the Crime Stoppers website. Tips could also be sent via text message, to 274637, and enter TIP577. All calls and tips are confidential.
